Dr Breckon offers a number of injection therapies to treat arthritis, joints, tendons, ligaments, muscles and nerves. In order to know what therapy you may benefit from, please first book an initial visit in person (pain specific). Dr Breckon will complete a full assessment and a physical evaluation in order to determine which treatment is best suited for you.

If an in-person initial visit is unavailable, you can book a telemedicine visit and your physical assessment will be deferred to your first in-person visit.. A telemedicine initial visit is a good option if you already have a diagnosis and/or diagnostic imaging for your concern.

Dr. Patricia Breckon ND

Dr Tricia Breckon became a naturopathic doctor (ND) with the single purpose of working with people suffering from or limited by their pain. Before becoming an ND she studied at the University of Calgary and completed 2 undergraduate degrees as well as a Master’s degree, all while training and competing for the varsity track and field team.

Dr Breckon has graduate level training in health research, biostatistics and epidemiology which guides the evidence-based approach she takes in navigating the alternative medicine world to provide the most informed treatments for her patients. Dr Breckon knows pain. She brings personal experience having lived through debilitating chronic back pain from athletic injuries and recovering fully with prolotherapy after finding little to no relief from other modalities.

Dr Tricia Breckon has spent years taking advanced training in pain management to provide the most safe and effective treatments for her patients. She has, and still works with the leaders in this field to expand her knowledge base and see the unique variations that present clinically. Her primary practice is in Calgary at Paradigm Health Group where she focuses on chronic/acute pain management, injury rehabilitation and regenerative medicine. She grew up in Fernie and knowing what an active community Fernie is, saw a way she could be of service to her hometown and provide comprehensive naturopathic care for chronic/acute pain.

In her clinical experience, most cases of chronic pain that are unresponsive to other modalities are often due to underlying instability. Instability can be caused by chronic poor posture, injury, trauma or deconditioning. One of the best ways to improve stability is through injection therapies such as prolotherapy and PRP which provide your body a second chance at healing the affected area. Not everyone is a candidate for injection therapies and Dr Breckon discerns with expertise and experience and offers multiple strategies to help with pain management and injury rehabilitation that may involve dietary changes, sleep optimization, hormone balancing and strategic nutrient or botanical supplementation.
